President Nasheed has briefed Sri Lankas Muslim Congress on the ongoing political crisis in the Maldives.

Attending briefing talks held by the MDP’s Parliamentary Group to Sri Lankas Parliamentarians, President Nasheed spoke on the importance of early elections in the Maldives. He also spoke on the urgent need to address issues of police brutality and the deteriorating democratic values since the transfer of power on 7th February.

Sri Lanka Muslim Congress party assured their support for the people of the Maldives on political stability and democracy consolidation.
